1. General Policy

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

MedBridge Inc. ("MedBridge") is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit the MedBridge website. This privacy notice applies to www.medbridgeed.com, the MedBridge mobile application, and other websites owned by MedBridge, including personalized white label websites (collectively, the MedBridge Website, as defined below). However, some versions of MedBridge maintain their own privacy policy notices. You can find links to the applicable privacy notice in the footer of each MedBridge page. This Privacy Policy explains to you how we collect and use your information. This document should be read in conjunction with the MedBridge Terms of Use, and we reserve the right to append or otherwise modify this privacy notice at any time.


1.2 Term Definitions
  1. "Content" refers to all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags, or other materials posted and/or otherwise displayed on, to, or at the MedBridge Website.
  2. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing a website.
  3. "Course(s)" refers to continuing education courses available on the MedBridge Website.
  4. "Internet Protocol Address" or "IP Address" refers to a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the internet. In some cases, your IP Address stays the same from browser session to browser session; but if you use a consumer internet access provider, your IP Address probably varies from session to session.
  5. "MedBridge Website" refers to the MedBridge website accessible through the URL www.medbridgeed.com or www.medbridgeeducation.com, and other white label websites owned by MedBridge Inc., as well as the MedBridge Mobile Application, downloaded in your phone's app store.
  6. "MedBridge" refers to MedBridge, Inc.
  7. "Personal Information" includes, but is not limited to, any information that identifies or describes an individual, including first and last name, professional licensing information; age; gender; marital status; health status; email address; mailing address; telephone number; education; financial information; medical history; statements made by, or attributed to, a User.
  8. "User Profile" refers to a profile posted by a User on the MedBridge Website.
  9. "You," "your," and/or "User" refer to any individuals and/or entities visiting and/or otherwise accessing the MedBridge Website for any reason.

2. Personal Information Voluntarily Submitted

2.1 Personal Information you choose to provide
MedBridge will collect personal information when you: (i) register for any Course offered by or via the MedBridge Website; (ii) sign up for any email alerts or communications; or (iii) any time a User provides such information voluntarily to MedBridge via the MedBridge Website. A description of the Personal Information which MedBridge may collect, and how MedBridge may use this information, follows.
  1. When you visit the MedBridge Website or use the MedBridge App
    You may have the opportunity to provide Personal Information when you visit the MedBridge Website. This information may include your name, username, email address, gender, and other relevant information to better serve your needs. If you sign up to receive emails from MedBridge, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. MedBridge will store your information as necessary to provide the requested services. If your information is added to an email list, you may opt out of those emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. MedBridge will store certain information on your device in order to provide a seamless experience in using the MedBridge App. This includes your username and password.
  2. When you contact MedBridge
    If you contact MedBridge support, in order to better serve your needs, MedBridge may ask for your name and email address.
Personal Information is provided at your own risk. By providing your Personal Information, you are communicating your consent to MedBridge's collection, use, and disclosure of such Personal Information for the purposes for which you provided the information to MedBridge, and as described in this Privacy Policy. MedBridge will not collect any Personal Information about you unless you agree to disclose such information.

2.2 Using your Information

MedBridge collects information about you in order to establish and enhance our relationship with you. MedBridge's use of this information includes the following:

  1. To personalize your experience, so MedBridge is better able to respond to your individual needs;
  2. To improve our website through your feedback;
  3. To more effectively respond to customer service requests and support needs and improve customer service;
  4. To process transactions;
  5. To contact its users regarding the services;
  6. To conduct research and compile aggregate data for internal and external business purposes; and
  7. Any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect your information.
2.3 Push Notifications

You may receive Push Notifications from the MedBridge mobile application. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications, you may turn off this feature in the settings on your device.


2.4 Updating your Information

On MedBridge, you are able to correct, update, review, or delete information you have submitted by going back to the specific tool and making the desired changes. Remember that if you refuse to consent to, opt out of, or certain services or benefits.


2.5 Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving you, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe it is needed to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. Non-personally identifiable information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.


2.6 Changes in MedBridge Inc.

If MedBridge is sold, merged, or otherwise transferred, personal information may be transferred along with it.


2.7 Additional Information Use

We may use your email for transactional purposes, as well as for promotional purposes. Transactional purposes include confirming registration and notifying you about changes to your account. Promotional purposes include sending you newsletters about new features, special offers, promotional announcements, consumer surveys, and other items concerning our service. During registration at the MedBridge Website, you may be signed up to receive promotional email newsletters from MedBridge. Email messages may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the emails to determine whether the email was opened and what links, if any, were clicked. Should you prefer not to receive promotional emails from us, please edit the preferences in your account menu or click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any promotional emails.


3. Automatically Collected Information

3.1 Cookies and Information Collected Via Technology

As you use MedBridge, certain information may be passively collected and stored on our or our service providers' server logs, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique device ID, your Internet protocol address, browser type, operating system, and information about how you use the MedBridge Website or App. We also use Cookies and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URL) to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the solutions and information for which you searched and viewed. This type of information is collected to make MedBridge more useful to you and to tailor the experience with MedBridge to meet your needs.


MedBridge uses both session cookies and persistent cookies to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience with MedBridge.

You can opt out of session cookies by changing your computer's cookie settings. Opting out of or blocking session cookies from your computer will prevent your ability to access the MedBridge Website. Blocking persistent cookies may affect the personalization of information on the MedBridge Website.

4. Safety and Security Measures

4.1 Internet Security

MedBridge uses a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your Personal Information when you place an order or access your Personal Information: (i) A secure server. (ii) All Personal Information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then entered into our Payment gateway provider's database accessible only to those authorized who are required to keep the information confidential. (iii) All data stored on the MedBridge Site server(s) is stored in a database "behind" a secure firewall. (iv) There is no permissible access to the database outside of the hosted environment and the MedBridge office. (v) After a transaction, your private information (credit card information) will not be stored on our servers.


4.2 Security Limitations Disclaimer

MedBridge cannot and does not guarantee that Personal Information you post on the MedBridge Site will not be accessed by unauthorized persons. Despite MedBridge's efforts to safeguard your personal information, there is always a risk of security breach. MedBridge is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures of the MedBridge Site. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of Personal Information on User Profiles may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your Personal Information.


The MedBridge site might be linked to other websites. Please be aware that MedBridge is not responsible for the privacy policies of those other sites. If users provide information directly to websites other than MedBridge, different rules may apply for the use of personal information. You are solely responsible for your privacy settings, and MedBridge is not and will not be responsible for Personal Information shared by you via a user profile or the settings associated therewith.


4.3 How to Delete Your Information

When you delete the MedBridge mobile application, any information saved in your device will be deleted, but any information collected and stored by us will remain in our server.


4.4 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

The Home Exercise Program is accessible on the MedBridge Website and App through a HIPAA- compliant access code. There is no personally identifiable information (PII) attached to this access code. However, you may be able to store your access codes on your mobile device for simple access to your Home Exercise Program. For safety and security purposes, this access code may expire.


4.5 Children's Privacy

In compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), MedBridge will not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. The MedBridge Website is directed at people who are older than 13 years. While a patient may be under the age of 13, no such patient should use the MedBridge Website without parental consent. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided MedBridge with information without their consent, her or she should contact us at legal@medbridgeed.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.


5. Third Party Websites

MedBridge maintains accounts on certain third-party websites, such as social media sites, in order to better interact with its users and the public. The security and privacy policies of third- party websites apply to your activity on those sites. You should review the privacy policies of these websites before using them and understand the ways in which your information may be collected and used by those sites. These sites include, but may not be limited to: Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

MedBridge reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom. If you object to any of the changes to the Policy, you must cease using the MedBridge Website and can request that MedBridge removes the Personal Information. Unless stated otherwise, the then-current privacy policy applies to all Personal Information MedBridge has about its users.
